Program Objectives
 

S.C.O.R.E.

 
S Skills A focus will be put on improving all the player fundamental skills, skating, shooting, passing and body checking. Players will also be taught the importance of positional play in all areas of the ice. Players will be tested twice during the season.
C Communication There will be open dialogue between the coaches and players. Player expectations will clearly communicated to everyone. There will also be an open dialogue with the coaches and parents.There will be regular parent meetings to discuss the Team's progress on the ice, as well off the ice e.g.: budget.
O Opportunity There will be an equal opportunity for all players to learn and be successful. A player cannot improve unless they get a chance to play in practices and in the games, in all situations. Ice time will be earned based on players efforts in games and practices.
R Respect All players will be expected to respect their coaches; teammates; referees; parents and opponents. The consequences of inappropriate behavoiur will be reduced ice time in games.

Effort &
Excellence

Players are expected to attend all practices and games which the teams schedule. All players and coaches will be expected to give 100% effort in all practices and games. The Team will practice as hard as it plays the games. Excellence will come if there is full support from the coaches, players and parents.
